Zahir Raihan Film Society has been established in the name of Zahir Raihan, one of the renowned writers and filmmakers of the film movement in Bangladesh. Zahir Raihan Film Society is a nationally based film Organization. It is a nonprofit organization. It is registered from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government Republic of Bangladesh. It has branches in different area of the country. Zahir Raihan Film Society is always working to spread the spirit of the great Liberation War of Bangladesh. The organization is conducting an educational program called Zahir Raihan Film Institute under the Film education Program. Film has emerged as a powerful international medium these days. People who know this technology are getting employment through television and various social media. Moreover, students of this medium can use their creative talent in various advertising agencies as skilled manpower. Film education is creating manpower in many mediums including drama, advertisement, screenwriter, cinematographer, light design, set design, acting, editing, and color correction artist. That is why film studies departments are being opened in various public and private universities of the country. Already in 5 universities of the country undergraduate and postgraduate education has been started. Bangladesh is preparing for the fourth industrial revolution. Therefore, in this technology-dependent era, there is no option for short-term or long-term courses among students. Every year the organization organizes film festivals.
